The video below explains into detail why me and my colleagues of IRHOB (Bénin) wanted to created an Arduino underwater thermometer and the approach we followed.
We received some seed money from the Bio-Bridge Initiative to execute the project.
The result were promising, however there were some problems:
- It was really difficult to get the arduino parts to Bénin.
- Due to battery use, the device was as costly as a professional device.
A solution could be to bypass the arduino technology and reprogramme chips from disposed electrical appliances.
